How to Make Radish Chutney (Recipes)

To create this delectable radish chutney,

You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Radish – 250 Gm / 1 Cup
  • Shallots – 40 Gm
  • Garlic- 40 Gm
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper or white pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Gram dal – 1 and half tsp
  • Urud dal – 1 and half tsp
  • Dried red chili – 4 to 5 pics (Depend on your taste)
  • Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
  • Kari leaf – 10 leaves
  • Coriander leaves – 1 or 2
  • Tamarind  – 10 Grams
  • Salt – Required Amount
  • Olive oil / Refined oil – Required Amount
  • Mustard – 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing – 1 Pinch
  • Coconut – Required Amount (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. First place the pan on the stove and heat it.
  2. Then pour a tablespoon of olive oil
  3. A tablespoon of chickpeas, urad dal, coriander seeds, red chilies
  4. Then add half teaspoon of pepper
  5. Fry all this in medium flame
  6. Fry all this and keep it separately
  7. Then in the same pan, saute the curry leaves and add the chopped radish (250 Grams)
  8. Add coriander leaves and saute well till the green smell goes away
  9. Add the roasted ingredients separately and add tamarind to it
  10. Add a tablespoon or two of grated coconut to it if required. Add some salt and saute well
  11. After sauteing well turn off the stove. Keep it aside and cool
  12. After it cools down put it in a mixer jar and grind it finely.
  13. For seasoning, take a small pan and pour a teaspoon of oil in it
  14. Add half a teaspoon of mustard to it and then add dry chillies and fry for a while then add fenugreek and curry leaves.
  15. Add it to the seasoned chutney.
  16. Now your delicious Radish Chutney is ready.
