What is biomass energy?

Answer : A form of renewable energy called biomass is produced from organic stuff, such as plants, crops, and waste products. When the organic material is burned or transformed into other types of energy, it is a sort of chemical energy that has been stored and is released. Biomass is regarded as renewable since it is made from live or recently living organisms that may be regenerated through sustainable practises. It can be used to generate heat, electricity, or liquid and gaseous fuels.

Many materials, including wood, agricultural crops and byproducts, food waste, municipal solid waste, and animal manure, can be used to create biomass energy. Before being burned or transformed into other types of energy, the organic matter is normally collected and treated to remove impurities and moisture. When generated and used sustainably, biomass energy has the potential to decrease reliance on fossil fuels, offer energy security, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
