Who invented the chess game?

Answer : Although its exact roots are unknown, chess is thought to have started in northern India around the sixth century AD. Once in Persia, the game gradually made its way to the Arab world and Europe.

The game of chess has developed and grown in popularity all over the world since the 15th century, when the present rules were codified in Europe.

Chess is thought to have evolved over a long period of time and was probably inspired by many various civilizations and customs, hence it is unclear who actually founded the game. The game, as we know it now, is thought to have been created in Europe during the Middle Ages.
