Who wrote the Declaration of Independence of the United States?

Answer : Thomas Jefferson, a member of the Committee of Five chosen by the Continental Congress to create a statement stating the American colonies’ independence from Great Britain, wrote the majority of the Declaration of Independence. John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston were also on the committee, although Jefferson was designated as the document’s primary author.
